Under any conditions the Ukrainian gas transmission system (GTS) will remain in national property in line with the national legislation, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Konstiantyn Yeliseyev said this after the talks in the European Commission dedicated to preparation of the donor conference on modernization of the Ukrainian GTS. The IMF’s representative in Ukraine, Max Alier, has said that the country is edging closer to a renewal of the $16US.4-billion loan deal which was first struck in November 2008.
